During my years as a classroom teacher I had taught woodworking, metal shop and silversmithing. And with retirement I have been enjoying exploring with watercolor. Robert Brown taught me the basics and Carol Janda helped me to continue to grow. Melissa Penic added her expertise, and Tom Lynch pushed me to be freer with color and intensity.
My landscapes focus on area barns, the beaches of Western Washington and coastal scenes from Northern California. Now and then I add some sentimental scenes painted from photos taken during my Alaskan experience. But most of all I will be forever grateful that I have found the Olympic Peninsula and Sequim, and have become a part of the Northwest art community.
