“Faux Encaustics”
With Barbara DePirro. September 26 - 28 from 10 AM to 5PM at Lobo Design Studio in Carlsborg. Cost $270 with all supplies provided. Barbara will teach how to use layered acrylics to mimic the look of hot-wax-based encaustics. Contact Mary Franchini 681-0895 for more information. Open Studio For Serious Artist
On the second and third Thursday of each month there will be space to paint new paintings, finish paintings and learn with Mary Franchini. The second Thursday of each month we are calling , Paint with Bob day. We will concentrate on watercolor on this day. Watercolors, brushes, books and supplies left to us by Robert Brown will be available for use. There are also many of his paintings hung in the space. On the third Thursday Join the group and Mary will demo some technique or painting process and have some supplies to paint with. Bring your own supplies and paint along or do you own thing. All dates are not available so check the list below and keep it on hand. The fee is $10 and first come first serve. Dates: June 12,19, July 10, 17 (no session), Aug 14, 21, Sept 11,18, Oct. 9, 16. April 17th - April 19th, 2008 Watercolor Floral Working with Color Instructor Linda Aman from Tualatin, Oregon.
Learn to paint with a limited number of colors (triads). This class will help you make glowing colors without mixing mud while learning more about color harmony. The second and third days you will be using a three color triad to create a watercolor floral. Linda teaches in a step-by-step approach with lots of individual instruction. All levels welcome.
