Artist Statement

Herons, kingfishers, salmon and many other Pacific Northwest themes make up the extensive body of work that I’ve designed in metal over the past 9 years. My current passion is creating a line of stainless steel dog art: each piece is designed based on a pet used as a model, or from pictures that clients submit of their dog friends.

For me, the life of art originates with a vision. It then evolves as I listen to my clients, and a design starts to form into something uniquely personal for them. My greatest joy is installing a completed piece: once it becomes part of someone’s life, the process is complete.
