Demonstration:
Lynne will be painting with watercolor in her garden, weather permitting.
Artist Statement:
Lynne Armstrong completed a Masters Degree in Fine Arts in Painting at Cornell University and a Masters in Art History at Stanford. For one year she was a student at the Academia di Belle Arti in Florence, Italy, before completing her comprehensive examinations at Stanford for her Ph.D. in Art History. She has taught art in college, high school and elementary school.
After a career in remote sensing in British Columbia she has moved to Port Angeles, Washington to be near family. Lynne finds inspiration in the landscape and seascape of the Olympic Peninsula. She works in watercolour, acrylic, and clay. Her works are in many private collections in the US, Canada, Asia and Europe. Her work is currently represented by the Blue Whole Gallery in Sequim, Washington.
