Artist Statement
A self taught artist of more than forty years, dStanderwick’s works range from realism to abstract and experimental that are created in various media and mixtures of media including oil, watercolor or carving. You will find a wide variety of subject matter treated with expertise and feeling on her website. She captures the Northwest whether in a work about its people, places, or animals; landscape, seascape or florals. She may use the bright colors of a subject on a sunny day or soft tones to capture the mysterious atmosphere of a subject on a rainy or cloudy day. Her paintings reflect deep feelings for and love of life and nature. Some paintings are available as prints.
