Artist Statement
Susan who was raised and schooled in upstate New York, an at Syracuse, University, BFA, found herself and her art flourishing in the coastal town of Forks for thirty years. Promotion of the west Olympic area as a viable place for artists to live, create and show their work was key in the formation of the West Olympic Council of the Arts and the Olympic West Arttrek. A continuing self guided tour of artist studios and galleries.
“The move from the “west end to the north peninsula area has not been an easy transition for me, but as the settling in process evolves I am enthralled with the light, the uniqueness of the land shapes and the horizon line that appears everywhere.”
Susan is now concentrating exclusively on the fulfillment of her personal goals of peace, love and laughter which naturally include artistic endeavors. Susan’s work includes he “white woman susu sticks” and her pastel and watercolor pieces reflecting both humor and serenity.
Susan’s work can be found in collection throughout the US and Europe.
