Artist Statement
Richard S. O’Connor, born & raised in Queens N.Y.C. Lived in upstate New York for 33 years and raised a family. Enjoyed the outdoors a great deal. Before moving to the North West in 1985, the mid-atlantic states were my home & living. Became a Jeweler and designed a great deal. Bought and operated a Jewelry store in Port Townsend Washington till retirement in 2001. Retirement did not do it, so….I took up watercolor painting in earnest and became a member of Sequim Arts. I entered the juried show in the spring of 2007 and achieved a Merit award. Guess I’m stuck now. Loving every minute of it too.
