Alexandra studied art in Paris, France, and in college here in the states. She specializes in abstract landscapes and seascapes echoing what is around us.
“My method is to fuse an observation of nature with abstraction. The results are somewhat realistic, somewhat abstract. I have always been a admirer of the works of Cezanne and Wassily Kandinsky – the father of abstractionism.”
Alexandra has taught college and grade school level classes. Her work has been exhibited at the Wing Luke Museum/Seattle, Washington; the State Capital Museum/Olympia, Washington; the Carnegie Art Museum/Oxnard, California; the Santa Barbara Art Museum/Santa Barbara, California; the Grand Palais/Paris, France; the Vizual Art Galéria/Budapest, Hungary; and in many other galleries and museums around the United States. Her paintings are found in many noteworthy private and public collections including the Hilton Hotels and the Washington State Legislature.“…Alexandra’s work is lively with contrasts of color … serene and deliberate, giving us a very satisfying panorama. These works gain with a dimension of mystery…” Will Grant, Art Critic, ARTSPEAK, show at the Lynn Kottler Galleries, New York, New York.
