My art focuses on Northwest landscapes and cityscapes, with the odd image from somewhere else. The magnificent scenery and clear light make where we live an exciting place to create art. My paintings are most often done en plein air. My photographs are digitally printed using archival pigmented inks.
I lean toward a graphical look, toward impressionism and sometimes abstraction. I am fascinated by patterns found in nature (and sometimes in manmade things), especially when these details start to border on the abstract or confuse my sense of scale. I also enjoy the humor in a fleeting confluence of elements or an unusual point of view.
