First Friday Art Walk
When: First Friday of each month, 5:00 to 8:00 PM
Where: Downtown Sequim galleries and participating venues
Cost: Free
Sequim's longest-running arts event. Walk from gallery to gallery along Washington Street and Sequim Avenue. Many venues host opening receptions, artist demonstrations, and live music. The Art Walk runs twelve months a year, rain or shine (though in Sequim, shine is more common). See our Art Walk page for maps and participating galleries.
Community Workshop Sessions
When: Saturdays, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM (most sessions)
Where: Various studio locations in Sequim
Cost: $35 to $85 per session; member discounts available
Our workshop program covers a rotating selection of media and techniques. Upcoming topics are listed below. Pre-registration is recommended as most sessions fill within two weeks of announcement.

First Friday Art Walk: Spring Opening
Galleries debut their spring exhibitions. Featured show: watercolors by Olympic Peninsula artists at Blue Whole Gallery. Free and open to all.
Workshop: Introduction to Watercolor Landscapes
Half-day workshop covering wet-on-wet technique, color mixing for Pacific Northwest scenes, and composition for outdoor subjects. All materials provided. $65 general, $50 members.
First Friday Art Walk: April Edition
Spring is in full bloom across the galleries. Several venues will feature plein air paintings completed during March expeditions to Dungeness Spit and the Sequim Bay area.
Workshop: Hand-Building with Clay
A full-day ceramics session focused on slab construction and coil techniques. Suitable for beginners. Pieces will be bisque-fired and available for pickup two weeks after the session. $85 general, $65 members.
First Friday Art Walk: National Arts Month
Celebrating National Arts Month with extended hours and special demonstrations across downtown. Youth Arts students will exhibit work in the Civic Center gallery.
Art at the Lavender Festival
Sequim Arts coordinates an artist booth section at the annual Sequim Lavender Festival. Local artists display and sell lavender-inspired work. Applications for booth space open in March.
Annual Plein Air Festival
Nine days of outdoor painting across the Sequim-Dungeness Valley. Culminates in a juried exhibition and collector sale. Open to artists working in any outdoor medium. Full details and registration.
Holiday Art Walk & Studio Sale
A festive December Art Walk with holiday music, warm drinks at participating galleries, and a special studio sale featuring affordable original works by member artists. A Sequim tradition.
